Tourism
There's much to see and do in and around the City of Teague! Our picturesque
city has recently celebrated its 100th birthday. Teague's beginning was
centered around the railroad and the city still enjoys benefits from the B-RI
Railroad locally. When you come to visit, be sure you check out the historical
Teague Hotel and Railroad Museum.
Teague City Lake is undergoing a massive facelift starting in September 2008.
New docks and piers will be in place soon, along with restocking of the lake.
Drive on down with your RV, park next to the lake, relax and eat your daily
catch under the Texas stars.
Our City Parks can be enjoyed during the majority of the year--bring the
children along on your visit. RV hookups are also available at the 8th Street
Park. Events such as the Ranch Rodeo and Parkfest, with vendors and
local crafts displayed, take place at the City Park each year. Little League is
big in Teague and sponsors various tournaments throughout the year at the 8th
Street Park.
Family reunions, Homecoming, and parades are all fun activities for the local
folks, as well as our many visitors.
If you would like to know more about lodging and dining options in the Teague
area, please contact the Teague Chamber of Commerce for more information.
